We made it to Kenya. We spent the first week in Mombasa, where we rested, learned about the culture and spiritual climate, and experienced Kenya and learned to get around through a scavenger hunt, part of which required us to make it into the city using local transportation. It was very helpful to experience the country through the scavenger hunt before our squad of 19 was split into teams of 4-5 people and scattered throughout Kenya.
My team of five has spent the last week at a Girls Home run by Mama Nancy, a prayer warrior with God’s Heart for children.
(The bus stop on our way to Mama Nancy’s)
We help with homework, nightly worship, making supper, and just loving on these girls.
(Helping with supper! It was super fun!)
While the girls are at school, we go to the House of Prayer and pray about what we are to be doing and what we are to pray about. On Friday we prayed and fasted for our families with Mama Nancy.
I have a feeling we will be doing a lot of prayer these next few weeks in particular.
LOVE YOU! Let God lead and guide you. So proud of what you are doing.
Thanks for the update. How exciting to be able to encourage young girls to become all that God desires for them. I am in Guatemala this week leading a team teaching school girls Health and Hygiene Practices and providing them with menstruation kits.
Luv ya! Grampa
